Current Projects:

Trainee projects in the Cowan laboratory will focus on proteins and pathways that regulate cellular iron chemistry, iron cofactor biosynthesis, and iron trafficking; as well as studies directed toward development of catalytic metallodrugs targeting viral and pathogen RNA's and proteins.  Projects will utilize a broad range of chemical, biological and physical techniques.
