Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Responsible conduct in research course

Responsible conduct in research course

Responsible conduct of research must be an integral part of scientific education. We strive to teach students (both the trainees and non-trainees) how to behave in a responsible manner. Our goal is to help students to recognize ethical issues as they arise and formulate appropriate moral arguments that will guide their decisions. In addition to introductory courses offered by their Ph.D. programs, all CMBP trainees will take BME 6983/Vet Bio 7751 Research Ethics course in their second year of training. This course will provide the trainees with an understanding of the ethical issues in research and an overview of professional and University resources for addressing these issues.
