Current Projects:
Trainee projects in the Burghes laboratory will involve studies of how RNA metabolism is disrupted in motor neuron disorders. In particular how does disruption of snRNP assembly result in spinal muscular atrophy and what RNA process are disrupted in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
